Microsoft office programs keep quitting

I've had my imac for about 2 1/2 years and had microsoft office 2004 installed on it for that long. all of a sudden, in the last few weeks, all of the programs have been quitting on me for no reason. first one program will just quit and then if i try to use the others (word, entourage and excel mostly), they quit. if i try to reopen them, i get an error message (quit unexpectedly). if i restart the computer entirely, they work for a few days usually and then it happens again. nothing seems to cause the first program to quit so i don't know what's going on.

i guess i can uninstall and reinstall microsoft office. do i then lose all my messages on entourage and stuff? how do i even reinstall (i previously used a PC and i know there's no add/remove on a mac!)

Let's first rebuilt the Microsoft database for Entourage by quitting the program then hold down the 'option' key while launching Entourage. This way you can rebuild the Microsoft database, good luck.
