Microsoft Office X.v Sp 1 Memory Error

I have various users haveing problems with miicrosoft word displaying a "out of memory error"
this message will appear when opening a word doc
with word being the only application running.

A memory leak of some kind?,which was suppose to be fixed with sp1 or this software

HELP.......
