Microsoft Windows Vista to include "Gadgets"

My main complaint with Windows GUI design is that some bright spark decided that the easiest way to find a program on your system, whether in the Start Menu or file system itself, is by company name. So if I want to use Polka-Painter, I need to look under "Spoonware", and for Wordmaster I need to look under GX Systems. Compared to all their other usability blunders, the design of the start menu and file system is by far their worst.

I'm a little out of the loop with the Vista developments, so I nearly fell of my chair when I read today it is expected to be released in december 2006.

dude, what's the hold up?! It's getting beyond the joke. WinXP was released in 2001, and has seen just 2 major upgrades since them (and I use the term 'major' loosely). makes me wanna scream!
