Microsoft Word won't print... everything else does

Word won't even bring up the print center when i hit 'print'. it pretends to load something, and then the print panel in word goes away, thinking it did a good job. however, nothing happens at all.

it's an HP 2100TN hooked up via appletalk.
as mentioned, everything else prints fine.

any ideas?

Do you happen to be using the Office/Word Test Drive or is this an actual store-purchased version?

it's a store bought version. it has been working fine until around the time i installed the latest update (printer drivers).
i already contacted micro$oft for help, but they had no clue. they wanted me to (!) reinstall X. i'd be afraid that'd screw with everything, seeing as though i only have X and the 10.1 update.
