Mighty Mouse is NOT on the way

My system is Powerbook G4, purchased 12/06, delivered with OS X 10.4.2 upgraded to 10.4.6.

When I have the AC adapter plugged in here at my desk the Mighty Mouse works fine.

When I disconnect the power, the mouse is fine if I don't touch it. But when I do touch it, it starts spasmodically shifting between between the original view and the view you get when you push the the two "squeeze" buttons, and then release, ( I think that this particular view is called Expose). The power of the battery is showing 90-98% on the menu bar screen line, depending upon when I have tried this.

I just recently bought the entire system (brand new), and I'm a newbie. This is obviously not a feature, but was wondering if there was a track to fixing it.

I suggest you go to system preferences and see if hot corners are active... you might have un-knowingly set one of the cornors to work as "Expose"

Go Apple Menu "System Preferences" and click on "Keyboard & Mouse".
Set the side buttons to "OFF". If they are malfunctioning, this should stop the problem.

(I have mine set to OFF anyway; they're a blooming nuisance!)
