Mighty Mouse Won't Scroll Down

I've got a mighty mouse with my work MacPro and it's been great, except that this morning it stopped scrolling down. I've restarted and checked the prefs and it doesn't look like i've inadvertently altered some settings (as I quite often do). It still scrolls up and sideways, just not down. Anyone think of anything else, or is it probably a hardware fault?

Have occasionally had trouble with the small roller ball---just blew it out with a can of compressed air, and all was alright.

Just blew on it and it started working! Gotta love modern technology.

I took mine apart. You need a lot of finger to reassemble it, but it's fine.

Mine needed the glue above the outer ring to be broken (fairly easy on mine) and I put it bath with bathroom sealer.

The roller sits on 4 very smallroller. They crud up just like a traditional ball driven mouse and need to be scraped clean.

Apply some isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free cloth. Turn the mouse upside down and rub the cloth on the trackball. It will clean up right away and you'll be good to go.
