I bought a MacBook Pro running Lion and when I turned it on to set it up, I came to the screen where you can migrate a Time Machine backup from ones old machine to the new one. I did the migration and it was successful.
Unfortunately, I didn't use the external drive with the most up to date Time Machine backup.
I ran Migration Assistent to replace my initial migration, but it said I cannot migrate over top of the account I am logged in to. I then created an admin account, logged into that and ran Migration Assistent again. It ran to "less than one minute remaining" then hung. I realized I wasn't running 10.7.1 so I cancelled it, updated to 10.7.1 and now want to retry.
Was there a bug in Migration Assistant under 10.7.0 and did 10.7.1 fix it? If not, should I do a factory reset and just pull in my data that way? What would be the easiest way to handle this?
