Mini and old monitor

I got a 2024 Mac mini M4. The plan was to run an old Mac 27" Thunderbolt 2 monitor. with the T2 to T3 adapter. It ain't working.
The monitor works when I plug it into an old laptop. I have other old Mac monitors. I will try pairing with my M1 MacBook Pro, before I attempt to use one on the mini. We'll see.

Solved. The 27" thunderbolt monitor was the earlier model with 3 USB ports. I plugged in a newer one. The kind with USB, FW and the extra Thunderbolt 2 port. Fired right up!!!
