I bought the mini-dvi to vga adapter, and after connecting a 15" display to it, all I can see is the background I have on my 13" macbook. I don't see the docking-bar or the icons on screen. Also, when I press Alt-<any arrow>, I see the expected application flash by and disappear off-screen.
My macbook manual doesn't tell me anything about this. Anyone an idea what's up and how to set things straight?
