Just got back from lunch at the mall, and walked by a kiosk selling those little tiny radio controlled cars, I had to get one, as they were just about sold out (had 7 left, between me and my boss we bought them out). These things rock. I can't wait to get one home to taunt my cats with :) If you see these things at the mall get one, they rock, well worth the $19 price tag.

how do they do on carpet? all my cat taunting would need to be done in a capeted room :D

i get spam email about these thingsa all the time claiming they aren't available in stores. yet my local Long's drug store carries them so i'm guessing they aren't really very hard to find.
 
Well, at work it's working fine on an "industrial" carpet, ie. the like no pile carpet thats hard as a rock. If you can push in the carpet, i think the carpet would be higher then the wheels in the thing. :) Here the cars are getting almost impossible to find, they had and article on the news last night talking about how they are the hottest seller and no one can keep them in stock. Ofcourse, there are a bunch of different ones being made, some are much faster then others I guess, but mine's plenty fast :)

Oh, and you get the good spam mail. All I seem to get is Viagra, male "enhancement", and porn ads in my spam.... Was quite interesting this morning, opened up outlook, wandered off to talk to some cow-orkers, came back and in the preview window was quite a nice little picture, that is against site policy to describe, good thing no one from HR was walking around, or anyone for that matter :) I'd take your RC car spams any day :)

oh, i get those spams as well. i'm not sure how the profile of me as impotent & undersized, bankrupt & pre-approved for a credit card, and needing to refinance a home i don't own, has gotten out, but it appears that i am stuck with it. :p

and apparently i have amazing luck as i am always being one of a very select group of people to recieve some free item or win millions of dollars if i just reply quick enough. :rolleyes:
 
And you always need a cellphone and have this subconscious desire to burn DVD's to CD's. ;)
 
oh, yea - and on a pc. in fact i seem to need lots of software for pc's. i don't know how they knew i didn't have any. :p

does mail.app's spam filter continue learning after you turn it on automatic mode? because it's catching all my porn ones but not the run of the mill "FREE STEAKS" ones. i wish i could say "if the piece of mail has the following stament in it: 'to unsuscribe, click here' then regard it as spam".
 
I had so much fun taunting my cats last night. One wouldn't come near it, but the other was batting at it, trying to eat the antenna, and being chased around the kitchen. I'll take some photo's of it when I get home tonight to post here. I need to get more of these things, they are so much fun :)
