Mini vMac on OS X

This is not an altogether different OS from OS X which I'm trying to run, but I'm having little luck running anything on Mini vMac.

I have a folder with Mini vMac, vMac.ROM and what I believe is an application disk file. When I boot up Mini vMac, I get a floppy disk icon with the number 0 and a question mark on it. I can't get past this. I already tried opening vMac.ROM using Mini vMac and this produced the same results. Anything I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,

Looks like it's doing what any old Mac will do when the booting software is not found.
You have your virtual computer, but you don't have any operating system to run.
So, you need the bootable image file for whatever version of the Mac OS that you want to boot with your vMac. There's more info in the support files for vMac, and here's a vMac how-to page that should give you some help.

you have to have the system software. and either find a disk image with it already installed or install it on a disk image. I have had vMac working before, and Mini vMac is the way to go. I can give the software to run on Mini vMac, I have Mac OS 1.1, 6.0.8 and 7.0.1 and its already ready for vMac, so you just have to select it for your startup disk and your done.
