MiniDisplay to RGB (trhough HDMI) problem :S

Hi, [Quite urgent...]
I have a MiniDisplay Port to HDMI, and I use a HDMI to RGB to connect it to my RGB TV (Old fashioned, I know :p). However, When I set everything up, nothing happens ! I'm pretty sure that it's not a material problem.
So what should happen in normal use ? What should I see when I connect the cables ?

DisplayPort and HDMI support HDCP (High Definition Copy Protection). If the content or connection is looking for this, it will fail at the HDMI to RGB converter.
