"minimize in place" still MIA?

I think the preference "always minimize in place" is gone but you still can control-click the yellow button to minimize in place

really like that feature and im hoping it stays in the final.
 
Pardon, but what is minimize in place? The only explanation my mind can fathom is the window shrinking down in on itself to become an item on the desktop.

exactly, it's a feaure present in early Jaguar builds.
You get the window minimised on the desktop instead of in the dock
 
Minimize in place is not in the 6C106 build of Jaguar. There's no key combo the causes a window to minimize in place. Sorry.

Damn. I wonder why not. It had such potential! I'm gonna send in feedback to Apple right now. I suggest you guys do the same!
 
Man.. I can't belive they didn't include this feature. I thought it was fantastic.
I hope someone comes up with a way to turn it on asap.

I, too, am bummed as all heck. This is one of the features of Jaguar I was looking forward to the most. *sigh*

Agreed. Hope somebody finds a way to alter preferences in the terminal, or something like that. I bet the code is still in there, somewhere.

How is it that people discovered how to hack the dock, and move it around, anyway, before 10.1? I'd go snooping around for the "Minimize in Place" option, myself, if I had a copy of Jaguar, and knew where to look....
 
I am with you guys. I was very excited about that idea. I don't like it going to my dock. To task bar'ish for me. And my dock gets to long and small with tons of things going...

To bad... :'(

I was thinking that the code was still in there as well. I just emailed Unsanity begging for them to come up with something for it. Just the kind of thing they do. Maybe if more of you emailed them as well, they might think about it. feedback@unsanity.com .
