Minolta Software Install

The installer for my minolta scanner fails with an "access denied" error and "you do not have enough access privileges..."

I am running in admin mode (and even tried it as root user). The konicaminolta folks suggest that there is a locked file somewhere that is interfering with the installer, but they cannot suggest where to look.

I have had no difficulties installing anything else.

System is dual 867 G4 (mirror drive doors) OS is 10.3.9.

Software in Konica Minolta software for Dimage Scan dual IV v 1.0.2.

Is there a way I can look for locked files that shouldn't be?

Any other ideas?

start with repair permissions...? Just a guess but it seems a reasonable step one from where you're at.

Turns out the classic extensions folder "belonged" to the wrong user who did not have admin privleges.....
