I was looking for a couple of programs, some more essential than others, that I hope somebody out there has already found...
<dl><dt>talkd</dt>
<dd>talk just keeps saying "Looking for invitation on caller's machine" and I can't find a way around it.</dd>
<dt>perldoc</dt>
<dd>this is a pain in the butt. It just isn't there in my install... is it not supposed to be, or did something go wrong?

<dt>chfn</dt>
<dd>I have a feeling a little poking around with netinfo will solve this problem, but why is is there as a command if it doesn't actually work? Or should it work, and I just screwed up?</dd>

I'm sure I'll remember more next time I sit down in front of my shell, but any news on those would be a great start.
