Hi.

I would like all my PDF to be opened by default with Preview.

Of course we can force Preview for one file (Open With -> Others -> "Force").
But what about changing definitely this file type - application mapping ?

thank you,
Pierre (for JMG)

"Get Info" on a PDF file. Under the "open with:" category, choose the app you want it to usually open with, and, if you want ALL PDFs to open with that app, click "change all..."

AppMan, there is a preferences file that lists all the file-types, and also the protocol-helpers. But, the only way to edit it so far, is with MSIE. Funny thing is, it's an apple preference file. It seems almost as if it was just carried over from 9. Its called.. well. Im not sure. I thought it was called InternetPreferences.plist or something simmilar. But i've just looked in the global, and my home preferences folder, and i cant find it anywhere, under the apple ones, or the MS ones. But anyways. If you can work out the gobbldy gook in the "Application-Location" string (maybe it's hex...) then you could change the system wide settings for file-handlers and protocol-handlers.
If you work anything out, tell us!
