This game is hot. Just felt like posting to see who got the game. If you got it let me know what mission ya on. Im on mission 3 omaha beach. Its pretty hard but realistic.

Game finished forward and backward two weeks after it was released... one mother of a war game... wait till you have to get your behind through the sniper village... LOL... and the Panzer war after that...

Better not say too much... have fun playing.

I am playing online whenever I can. And believe me, Radeon cards on high res settings makes the game unbelievable!

I played the earlier version of MOH on Playstation. LOL.

Mohaa is the best first person shooter ever.
The realism is great, the maps are wonderful...

Only one bad thing: the mac version isn't so good as PC version about performances ...

I've a new G4 dual 1GHz with 512MB ram DDR and a Geforce 4 Titanium 128MB DDR and I can't reach 60FPS when there's a lot of players in the map.
:( :( :(

I want better performances!!!!!

hehe! ... I've Been Stuck Playing DeathMatches Across the internet on Unreal Tournament 2003! .. Man, that Game REALLY Rocks ... and the graphics are totally awesome!! ... it bugs me however, because for 'everyday' use, i'd gladly chuck my PC out, and get a G4 or iMac, but i keep playing a brand spanking new game, and it kinda holds me back! ... so i guess we gotta have a PeeCee 'for games' ...yes i know i could get a Crappy xBox or some S**T like that, but i love jus hooking onto a Good Server, and Getting a few Multi Kills 'n' Such!

...Anyone heard Whether Ut 2003 will make OS X anytime 'soon' ?
...it is AWESOME!!

So far the mac version is planned to come out in time for the holidays in December. For some reason though, I get the odd feeling that we'll see some statement from the company doing the in-house port of it(its name escapes me ATM) saying that it's been delayed, and their new estimate is something even more vague like "First Qtr. of 2003". Maybe I'm just too negative and bitter after being forced to use my mac as a gaming computer for all these years.

Agreed. Played UT2003 at a Gamers Training Centre in town lately and I was totally blown away.

Hope the Mac version comes out soon for us Mac users.

Cinema Display! Hardware advantage! LOL.

Thread about MOHAA, don't talk about UT 2003

How to increase performances in MOHAA?
Play UT 2003

What a stupid answer!!

If I want to play with an "unreal" game on OS X, I play with Quake 3 now.
MOHAA is another kind of game.

Sorry... got carried away...

So far, I only had to decrease the resolution and textures in game to boost the fps of the game on a slower machine.

If anyone else has a better idea on what to do, please share. Thanks.

Yes, I know.
The problem is that with my configuration I don't want to change resolution and grahic settings. The game should fly on my machine!!

Do u know how to set memory allocation as 'com_hunkMegs' command on Quake 3?

Thanks,

lmao! Don't Cry! ... i never suggested playing UT2003 as an answer for low FPS in MOHAA! I merely brought up how wonderful the game was! I Have MOHAA on my PC too, and yes its a Good Game, but Graphically, UT2003 Blows it away, like 'plastic' himself mentioned! Topics can go a little off topic at times, but hey, we're talking gaming Still, its not as though i am asking you to do my Homework for me or something

I increased by FPS dramitically br rebooting in classic and playing in classic. I went from about 40-50 FPS avg to 80-90 FPS avg.

I'm a definite MOHAA fan too and have completed it on the medium and hard difficulty levels, so I'm now addicted to playing online since I got ADSL!

AppMan, thanks for the performance tip regarding playing in OS 9 rather than OS X. Do you ever find the game to be unstable? I'm loathe to boot into OS 9 if it is as unstable there as it is under OS X on my machine, as I might keep bringing down the System!

A few questions for everyone:

1) Does anyone else have stability problems with the game (I'm running 1.12)?

2) Does anyone know about a release of Spearhead (the expansion disk) for the Mac?

3) What is the Medal of Honor Frontline version for the PS2 like compared to MOHAA on the Mac?

Thanks!

:)

Oh, and THEMACER, you can find some good MOHAA related info at:

http://www.planetmedalofhonor.com

and tips for the missions at:

http://www.ea.com/eagames/official/moh_alliedassault/walkthrough/walkthrough.jsp

Warning! The walkthroughs may spoil the game for you!

;)

AppMan,

Do you really have a Homer Simpson mouse pad? May I ask where one may acquire such fine merchandise?

Mmmmm . . . merchandise. :)

Thx!

Doug

Runs fine on OS 9 no crashes yet, but my OS 9 system is pretty clean. I have a gig a ram so VM is off and I allocate like 300megs to moh.

I have no stability problems on X or 9 but it runs soo much better on 9, bummer. On OS X I get a lot of rendoring glitches.

On OS 9 i run at 1280X1024 32bit most details maxed etc.. (Shadows off) No problems & great FPS.

1) There should be no stability problem on OS X with the latest patch.

2) There's no plan by now to port SpareHead on Mac :( :( :( :(

3) Frontline and other first person shooter on PS2 or other console r not good as the "computer" version, first of all as if u haven't keyborad a mouse, it's very hard to play with a joystick and u haven't the same accuracy in movements and shots.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

:)

I tried running MOHAA under OS 9 last night for the first time. It initially seemed a bit faster, but later seemed to get bogged down (this may be because I had one other app running). I had allocated 500 Mb to MOHAA and VM was off, and I also always play with maxxed out details (including shadows and also highest quality sound). I usually play with the display set to 800x600, but that's just because my really old monitor can't handle a lot of settings from newer graphics cards so I have to take what I can get! Anyway, last night I got an unexpected quit with a Type 2 error...

Unfortunately I disagree about stability. It seems to depend on the configuration of the Mac. I encounter a number of Mac users online who have the same problems I have and I wonder if it is still tied to a dual processor issue... There are sites which post user feedback, but for instance I find this at VersionTracker:

http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=15208&showRatings=&db=mac
(i.e. very varied experiences!)

Thanks also for the input on Frontline. I saw some screenshots and some video clips for it on the PS2 and it looked better than the PC/Mac verison, but I'm always less sure of first person shooters on consoles, as you say.

Anyway, I'm still addicted regardless of the frustrating (game) crashes! It's also great to find others who like MOHAA on this site. Do you all play online?
