Monitor buying Help

Alright chaps, need some advice on buying a 2nd user monitor. Ive been looking around for a second hand 21"monitor with a flat screen. As im using a older G4 (PCI) are there any compatability issues that i have to look out for?? or will any standard VGA capable monitor do the job, ive tried my pc's(boo, hiss) dell monitor and that works fine in the VGA port, so im guessing any other one will too. Am I right?????

any other vga (d-sub) will do, yes! Just watch out for some screens using cinch-cables for each color (red, green, blue RGB). But those are really rare.
Try to grab a trinitron screen. Also make sure it has a high value for the vertical refreshrate. For 21inch at least 96kHz or so.
 
yeah, you want something that does 1600x1200@75hz at least....look for a second hand Viewsonic, or Sony, or Mitsubishi...with a nice flat trinitron tube :D Like Zammy said ;)
