More Problems with iBook G4

Another thread about my problems.. >> Anyways, I was having problems with these certain little windows, (Example: Enter a non-existant adress into the Safari keyword box and up pops a little window notifying me it does not exist), and after one came up the Application would freeze and dissapear, later asking me if I wanted to submit a bug report. Well, I created a thread to see what I had to do to fix this, incredibly annoying little problem, probably most annoying because I couldn't import pictures or delete layers on Photoshop.. Anyways, I created the thread, and was told to reinstall the OS and performing an archive and install, etc. So, I did what was suggested to do, and after a bit of waiting, I had reinstalled the OS and I had all my files back. But I went to Safari while I didn't have an internet connection to see if it worked and the window problem was gone, but Safari actually wouldn't come up. Every time I selected it, it opened, but nothing happened. The Apple home page did not come up, neither did it when I clicked "New Page". So, I don't know what went wrong there but i'm ticked off about it. So I did something else to make the little window pop up; tried to delete my trash. But it didn't work. The finder froze, reset my desktop, (since trash isn't actually an application) and so it did exactly what it did before. I was delayed for a few days because I couldn't use Safari to come here and ask what went wrong, but finally realized AOL isn't JUST a thing to connect to the internet with. DUH. So, anyways, i'd like to know what went wrong, and since that didn't work to begin with, what I do now. Because it's eventually going to drive me crackers if it's completely unfixable.

"But I went to Safari while I didn't have an internet connection to see if it worked..." - "... it opened, but nothing happened."

Might want to try to turn the internet connection _on_. Also, since you're talking about the _same_ problem as before, you could have used your _old_ thread. Where is it? If you give me the link, we can merge the two threads. Maybe from that other thread we can better understand what you're exactly talking about etc.

Then excuse me, I didn't explain the problem with Safari thoroughly enough. Do you think I would just sit there and whine to myself when there was something wrong with my main internet navigator? Frankly, NO. I tried multiple times, also while on the internet. Anyways, I don't see what being connected to the internet has to do with it..
