Most Of My Browsers are Dead

All my browsers(Safari, Camino, Opera, iCab) with the exception of Firefox are dead in the water.....can't connect to the internet. Firefox is working just fine.
THE app WeatherDock is also dead...no connection. Everthing was fine 'till a day ago. Nothing special/unusual occurred yesterday to account for this issue.
System Preferences/Network confirms that I'm connected(via ethernet).
I did repair permissions and run DiskWarrior but nothing's changed.
What could be wrong?

MacBook Pro Intel core 2 duo w/Leopard 10.5.7

Any proxies?
What do you see in Console when you try to connect anywhere?
Do other apps that use internet work? iChat, skype, mail...?

The problem spontaneously resolved without me doing anything.
Everything's working normally for now.
I've no clue what the problem was.
I had called Applecare and the techs there were also mystified.
I spoke with a specialist who was flummoxed , too.
Anyway, all seems to be well now.

Check the log files because your Mac is screaming at you but you are not listening (that is a joke). Look at the log files in /Applications/Utilities/Console and see if they can give you a clue. Just try to remember the last time the problem was happening and look it up in the console application log. This could help trace down the problem.
