Hey everyone! Back from a term of grad school, hope I can share my wisdom again.
I've just bought a new Motorola iDEN i880 (which is a Telus Mike phone, called Nextel in the US) which is Bluetooth-enabled. I have configured it, bonded ? (jumelé), and can connect to it with Address Book, but that's about it.
Here's my configuration
Now, I can push a contact to the phone, but that's IT. I can't read contacts from the phone, I can't Compose number on phone (in Address Book) nor can I Send SMS (in Address Book, by selecting the person as described in TFM).
In an attempt to debug the connection issue, I have followed the procedure described in Bluetooth Help::Troubleshooting. No joy. I then enabled "Ask Permission to Connect" on my cellular phone and noticed that, when I connect to it via Address Book, it says "iBook is requesting Dialup Networking Access, allow?". I don't want to use dialup networking and didn't check it in the Bluetooth SA. I went in and deleted the Dialup Networking serial port from the Bluetooth prefpane, leaving the Serial Port associated with my phone. Upon connecting I get the same message.
It seems like, with Voice Gateway and OBEX OP supported by my phone that I should be able to do all of these things (SMS is the biggest one, synchronizing my address books would be nice, too).
Any ideas, no matter how far-fetched, are welcome. Thanks !
