Mounting a JVC camcorder...

Hi,

I'm trying to hook up a JVC video camera, model number GR-DVL150E, to my G5 so I can download the footage on the mini-tape.

I have a firewire cable plugged in but no additional software and, no surprises, my Mac isnt seeing the DV on the desktop...

I'm not at all technical but is there a software download I can get for my mac to enable me to do this???

iMovie should be preinstalled. Read up on that. The camera won't just mount on the desktop. Doesn't work like that.
