Hi
How to mount an ftp server as a local hd under osx?
I want to tag online mp3's that are on my ftp server (10 gigas) and for that i need to see this ftp server as a local hd.
I tried to access this server from the finder with Connect to a server but it does not accept ftp protocol.
Thanx for help

as far as i know, this is not possible. ftp stands for file transfer protocol, and that is really all it is good for. transfering files. what you are asking for requires a good deal more of the protocol.

the protocols available to you for mounting disks are: NFS, AFP, SMB. find out if your ftp server also offers one of these protocols, and then you can mount it.

if they are not available, then i suggest you use curl or wget to ftp all the mp3s, change their tags, and then ftp them all back. not a great option, but the ftp protocol does not support things like editing files to change the tag. only upload the whole file, or download the whole file.
