Hi Dirk and welcome to the forum (Willkommen)! :)
Did you turn on windows sharing in System Preferences -> Sharing? Did you turn off firewalls between the two computers (not talking about the router firewall if installed).
But what exactly do you mean when you say mount a shared osx folder? WinXP (?) and other windows os don't mount the drives but allow you to browse. This actually works fine with my system. For additional help also mention what os you are using.

Hi Zammy-Sam,

thank you very much :)

Windows Sharing is activated and no firewall is between the two machines.
I only want a direct connection to a shared folder on osx.

When i connect from osx to windows through smb i can choos a folder which i want to mount. I want the same vice versa.

Does windows find your mac in the "Netzwerkumgebung"? If not, did you try to search for your macs dns name? Are those two macs in the same subnet and maybe even in the same workgroup? Did you try with ftp instead of samba? MacOSX has a built-in ftp server that you will need to activate.

Both are in the same subnet, i can't find the mac in the "netzwerkumgebung" but i can ping him, the macs dns name is the machine name isn't it? Where can i set the workgroup for macs?

Thanks in advance

Did you try searching for the dns name / machine name of your mac in the Netzwerkumgebung? And did you ping the ip of your mac or the dns name:
'ping 192.168.0.102' or 'ping mymac'

Hi,
You should try editing the file /private/etc/smb.conf. This is the main config file for Samba and where you'll set the various parameters its operation. An important one is 'WORKGROUP ='. Set this to your desired workgroup name and do a 'killall -HUP xinetd' from a terminal. Do a 'man smb.conf' for an explanation of this file.
