mouse does not scroll down

My mouse does not scroll down but will scroll up. Is there some thing wrong with my mouse or is it a settings issue?
 
I would recommend following Apple's instructions for cleaning it. You're referring to a mouse with a scroll ball, right? Search Apple Support for clean and you'll find a section dedicated to cleaning all its products. You're looking for the Apple Mouse in Peripherals.
