Mouse Gestures In Osx?

I notice that when I move my mouse pointer to the upper left hand corner of the screen, everything takes on a blue tint. It looks like the Dashboard is trying to do something but there is no Calculator or calender displayed. Also since this has been happening, F12 doesn't display the Calculator, etc. That was quite convenient, especially as the Calculator was transparent. Very good for working with figures when you don't want to switch between programs constantly.
 
Go to Control Panel, select Dashboard/Expose, check and see if 'Active Corners' are set to activate something.
