Mouse Sticking & Slowing Down

I'm having trouble with my mouse (Microsoft Intellimouse 1.0) sticking and slowing down on me. It seems to have begun when I recently tried turning on Web Sharing. It's back off now, but the problem persists. I know this could just be coincidence.

Anyone else have these problems and know what to do?

have you tried cleaning it and checking the internal connections?

of course could just be when you buy a m$ product, you never get what you pay for.

I do appreciate the fedback. After another day of experimentation, I believe the mouse itself is just dying. It's light-guided mouse, so there's no chance of it being a dirty mouse problem. When I switch mice to any other of a number of mice I have here, it eliminates the problem.

It seems your "low quality M$ product" theory was right on target.

Exact same thing happened to me (mouse slowing and unresponsive) and eventually I got a kernel Panic regarding a USB device (obviously).

I unplugged the mouse, powercycled, plugged it back in and haven't had problems since.
