Move from Mac back to PC

I am currently using a powerbook g4 with osx 10.3.9... but i need a new computer and I can't afford a new mac. So I had to go back to PC. I purchased a Toshiba laptop and now I need to move all my files and stuff on to my new computer. What is the best way to do this?

I bought a Hammer Space Portable harddrive, but when I plug it into my powerbook g4 It doesn't pick it up! It works when I plug it into my friends macbook and into my pc... It is currently formatted to FAT32. thoughts?

If both computers have wireless networking, then the "easiest" way would be to simply share a folder on the Windows machine, connect to the share from the Mac, then transfer the files you want over the network -- or vice versa.

The PowerBook G4s were notorious for under-powered USB ports. There are special USB cables on the market that connect a hard drive to two USB ports on a computer for extra power -- I've seen many a hard drive work flawlessly on MacBooks, iBooks and Windows computers, yet fail without that special "Y-shaped" USB connector on MacBook Pros and PowerBooks. That may be what you're experiencing.

I'm not that good with computers, so can you explain how I set up a sharing folder on the PC and how to access it from my mac?
