Movie compression

Well when I record, and edit a movie with iMovie, is saves as a .mov. I need to know how to compress it for youtube, and was hoping someone could tell me how to do that.

That is the default. You may export your video in other formats. Check the expert settings when you export.

From YouTube Help:

What video file formats can I upload?
YouTube accepts video files from most digital cameras, camcorders, and cell phones in the .WMV, .AVI, .MOV, and .MPG file formats.

MOV files are already acceptable.

In iMovie choose File > Share > Quicktime and select a format in Compress movie for drop down menu.
