Hello. I just got my broadband working thanks to a couple of helpfull members.
I was wondering if there are safe sites to download movies etc, Ive seen loads that want money which is fine but are they actualy safe, or just scammers.
Any advice would be very greatfully recieved. :p

Also, many sites like that which I have seen simply give you instructions and support for using various p2p programs. The implication of this, of course, is that if you do so you are pirating the movie, etc. You are paying for the support, NOT for the rights to view/own the media. Be very carefull - very few movies are actually legally avalable for download. And, as JetwingX said, even if you do find one that IS legit, there is a good chance it will only work on windows.

Unfortunately i think you'll find they will require WMP because there isn't any other format that has built-in DRM for video. try something like netflicks. it's not the same thing i know, but you still don't have to go pick up the movies.

And anything you get from it is 99.999% sure to be illegal... :(

not really... (unless you mean p2p)

many of the download services let you "rent" movies for 3 or 4 days and then the file breaks down and deletes it's self.

and it usually takes upwards of 2-3 hours to download even with broadband

Unless im mistaken those services use WMP don't they jetwingx? There is not other type or video format im aware of that supports drm.
