Moving from MobileMe to iCloud

I noticed online that before you move from MobileMe to iCloud, you should backup your contacts and bookmarks at the following website:

Do we need to also backup the email that is currently on the mobileme servers?

I would say from both habit and experience back everything up. You can always delete what you don't need but it's always best to back up everything you feel is important.
