Moz/Netscape... window behaviour

When you open a new navigator window in Mozilla or Netscape, it doesn't pop up right above any other open windows but moves slightly down and (in my case) to the right. While some ppl might think this useful, I found it extremely annoying since it means that windows will travel down the screen cutting off the lower part of the page displayed... (and yes, I know I can use tabs but still...).
Does anybody know how to change that particular behaviour ?

I don't know if it's possible to change that behavior... I would type "about:config" in the URL bar and see if there is a config parameter that looks like it might change the behavior.

Please note that changing some of the parameters can cause major problems!
