hey i dont suppose you could do a favour for me...

Can you ask him if the player starts to load the next track before the current track has finished? My current mp3 cd player has to spin up the disk again read the track, then start playing. This results in about a 1 to 2 second delay between tracks (also it skips alot)

it does... its just not very advanced form of shock protection

once it has loaded the track into ram it is unskippable but in the first 5 seconds of reading a track its a bit dodgy. Thats the main reason i want a new one - that and the one ive got is pretty damn ugly...
