MS Word claiming not enough memory

I'm using an iBook G4, running 10.3.9 and MS Office X.

I recently started getting an error message telling me that I don't have "enough memoryor disc space" to run MS Word. The thing is, I have over 10G open on a 60G hard drive and have opened word docs on this computer with less. When I try to open a document or the application directly the computer freezes up for a minute, then gives me the message. Everything else works quite normally. I'm no wiz, but I poked around and am at a loss for what to do. Thanks in advance for your help.

I installed the diskfull template in the appropriate folder as suggested in the fix, but the second step requires actually being in the Word application itself which I am as of yet unable to do. I still get the same 'not enough memory or disc full' message when I attempt to open word.....

Regarding your suggestion to the word issue, I used it, but it does not work. I have to actually be in Word to use the workaround, but the application still does not open and I get the same message when trying to open it. I have visual basic installed. I of course keep re-reading the instructions in the workaround and it actually says that the workaround is for a problem related to saving a document from within word whereas my problem is open the program itself.
