MS word doesn't work

My MS word for mac's pull down menus don't pull down at all. Docs open but that's it. I rebuilt desktop, ran norton disk doc. what gives? G4733 using OS 9.2 Thanks in advance.

A few options available.

First, and easiest is to trash the word preferences.

Second, which is just time consuming, reinstall just Word from your install CD.

Either one should work.

From my friend offline (he got it from MS Tech Support):

Open: System Folder
Open: Preferences
Open: Microsoft Folder
Send to trash: Word Settings (9)
Restart

Works like a charm, pulldowns work now!
