MS Word mugs AppleWorks

Why does MS Word imperialize AppleWorks documents on my G4 with OS 10.3? If I create an AW file, the next time I open it, MS Word wants to open it instead and won't take no for an answer. I wouldn't mind if Word was a better program then AW, but I don't like the program at all.

Highlight an Appleworks doc, then Command-I on it for the Get Info window. Select Appleworks to open with, then click Change All.

Thank you bobw. Somebody must have changed that option when I wasn't looking, huh? That never happens on other computers I've worked on. Weird. Thanks.
