Msn chat control for mac

Hi there!

I'm trying to convert my mom to the Apple world, but the problem is that one of her favorite things is to chat on chat rooms similar to the msn groups (like this one http://gigachatbrasil.com/index.php) via browser, which use a Msn chat control (some kind of activeX thingy).

Does anyone know how she can still enter these chat rooms without having to install windows on the Mac?
 
I don't think there's a way to get that to work on OS X, especially if you need ActiveX. There's still bootcamp/parallels, though.
