does anybody know if they are bringing out msn 4 for mac soon to keep up with msn 6 (pc) like the new emoticons and the animated ones?

MSN Messenger 3.5 has emoticons, they seem decent enough. I don't think they're animated though.

Well MSN is a PC product. Just like MSIE you won't get regular updates, it's not meant to be 100% cross platform. You should check some better Mac product, after all, the software gallery is not that narrow. Try Proteus from Indigo Field for a good way to chat with MSN buds in a nice Mac interface.
 
MSN 6 isnt OUT at the momet its only Betaing and becuse of very poor HQ tightness, there are copies flying about.

Anyway, MSN 3.5 is a CPU monster, i use

Chevy >> AOL and MSN are cooperating. I've posted some news about this recently, but I think nobody answered.
 
Apparently MSN for Mac OS X was Made solely by Mac people, so surely they could update their software quicker if they do have a half decent Mac department?

As for MSN Messenger 3.5, I think its pretty good. after using the Pc version a bit, its certainly a lot nicer to use. As for the interface, whats wrong with it? It does the job fine. Unlike the somewhat ugly Mac Messenger. I couldnt get on with that at all.
 
Whats wrong with Mac Messenger? i like the GUI personaly, missing a few buttons here and there but its ok i think.
 
MS doesn't care. It makes them no money really so they have no incentive to update it and keep it up w/ the PC version.
