multiple ethernet cards

I'm trying to add a second ethernet card to my machine (g4). I fully expected OS X to recognize it and handle everyhthing just fine. Well, apparently that isn't the way it 's going to be...

So, my question... does anyone know of any ethernet drivers that work under 10.1.x for the Kingston brands of ethernet cards. Specifically the ETHERX VPII 10/100 PCI FAST ETHERNET ADAPTER (KNEIIITX) card?

Any help at all is useful...
 
odd... i have an old intel type NIC card i put in my OSX box and it just worked... no drivers needed.

are you sure you have it seated properly?

does anything at all show up in your Apple System Profiler's "Devices and Volumes" tab?
 
it shows up as 'unrecognized card'. It doesn't show up when I do an 'ifconfig -a' either.

What type of intel card are you using? I have many cards lying around here but I haven't tried them since they are PC cards by trade...
