My students created PowerPoint 2004 presentations with a sound file playing across several slides. They inserted the sound, set the animation options to play "with previous", hide when not playing, and to play over 6 slides. This was done on machines running PPT 2004, v. 11.1.1. I went to correct them on a machine that had recently had PPT updated to 11.2.1. Now the music does not play if the sound icon is placed below the slide in the normal view. If it is placed on the slide and "hide when not playing" option is set in the custom animations, a brief image of the Quicktime logo appears when the slide starts to play. Any suggestions on what needs to be done so that the logo doesn't appear? Where can I write so that MS is aware that the newest service pack update caused a problem with sounds playing through multiple slides?
