Music mixing

I want a program that allows me to put loops and tracks together to make a song, kind of like GrooveMaker. I recently tried a demo of Storm 2.0 and it''s exactly what I need because it allows you to place drum loops, synthesizer loops, and a bunch of effects together, only it's $150. Does anyone have Storm and is it worth it? Or is there a cheaper version out there somehwere that does that same thing?
 
Hrm, I was going to suggest Reason, but it's even more expensive than Storm. If you really want to get into it, though, it's well worth it; decent music mixing software is going to have to come out of your pocket.
