G5 update/announcement
10.2 release date or announcement or news
a digital device - pda, hopefully with it's own OS

Xserve impact news and any additional info ...

17" viewable iMac

i would like a price drop in LCD's

any of these would be good
 
I think the consensus (at least what I've heard) is NO G5, just updated G4 with better bus, RAM and boosted speed.
 
Well, with high hopes like that, you're going to be majorly let down.

It's threads like these that are the cause for couple getting so pissed off at Apple after major events. They get all these unfounded ideas and speculation in their head and then are disappointed to see that Apple hasn't delivered on them.

Oh well... :rolleyes:
 
I don't think anyone manufactures a 17" tube that is 17" viewable. I don't think anyone manufactures a monitor (CRT) that is the same viewable size as the monitor is.

To get a 17" viewable size, the monitor would have to be an 18" monitor, and as far as I know, they're only made in 14.1", 15", 16", 17", 19", 20", 21", 24" and 27".
 
hehe, I remember when Apple still sold 13" monitors and called them 13" because they actually had 13" visible screen real estate. Of course they were renamed 15" when the PC world started talking about that 'the Mac only had 13" screens'.

I want a

Titanium PowerBook G4 with dual 933 MHz processors.

(The second processor would of course be turned off when using it off the power outlet.)

Oh, yes, and a quad processor G5 @ 1.6 GHz, of course. 'We thought about calling it the Quadra II, but we think Q5 is a good name for it', said Steve...
 
High speed dual G4... with DDR... ATA100... architectural improvements...

...and of course DECENT GF4Ti drivers, so that I can finally buy one :D
