My 17' Studio monitor...Cracks?

I have this issue where my Apple Studio(17',CRT) monitor makes this wierd popping or cracking noise then dims out for a second and also losses its'alinment' for a breif moment then goes back to normal.

Its very unsettling and is somewhat of a concern, please someone let me know what is wrong with this POS.

P.S it does nto happen all the time, but every once in a while it does...and it freaks me out...bigtime
