OK... first off I have no clue what I have done to get my B&W G3 to do this, maybe some of you guys have some insight.
My computer dials into my ISP before bringing up any authentication screen, be it my screen saver or my login after the computer boots. It won't even show me the authentication screen untill the computer is connected to the internet. That was all fine and dandy after I turned off my pass protect on my screensaver. now for some reason it's dialing every couple minutes.
Like I said, I have no clue what's causing this, I have websharing, Appletalk, filesharring, software update, and network time server turned off and absolutely no programs are running except finder. While away at college I installed that broadband optimizer but when I came back home I took it out of the startup folder.
Does anybody have any reasoning why it would do this?
