my external harddrive icon disappear!

Suddenly my external harddrive icon is disappear! But I still reach via "Open File" menu!
I cannot 'drag and drop' copy , etc now!
How to solve this? so my icon appear again?

Try unplugging it and plugging it back in; the computer might also need to be restarted. What version of OS X are you running, and did you throw any icons on the desktop before the icon disappeared?

I use Mac OS X 10.2.4..I try reboot several time..try to move this external harddrive to another computer..still disappear!

But this harddisk still contain my data!...I can visit via 'Open File'!..I want my icon can appear again on my desktop!

finder ->preferences, make sure "show hard disks" is checked or what ever it is in your language (the top check box)

I have 2 external harddrive..the others is appear! so I thinks there are problem with this harddrive one! I cannot found this disk with FIND command. I try "Disk First Aid" but nothing error!.. the Icon was missing..I confused how to make appear again!
