My folder won't keep to its arrangement!

The 'Computer' folder won't stick to the settings I define in 'View Options'. I am set it to snap to grid and keep arranged by name. The next time I open the folder, it will be all messed up again.

Is there a way to sort this?
 
Does this occur when you are opening the Macintosh HD from Desktop or from other places, say the Dock? If it doesn't occur when opening from the Desktop, you should set the preferences from each and every place you open your Macintosh HD.

Also, uncheck from the Finder Preferences the
"Always open folders in a new window"
and
"Open new windows in Column View"
just to be on the safe side...

Let us know what gives! :)
