my ipod is not being recognized

ok, i plan on getting a new 30 gig, but my current one has almost 10gigs on it and my computer isnt recognizing it, which means i cant transfer. im guessing a firewire problem, cuz i got an isight recently, can anyone help? :(:(
 
eject it, unplug it ... restart the mac (and again...) and retry. is it happening only from today?

btw, if you want your music from the ipod to the mac (and they are not synchronized), get ipod viewer (from versiontracker). with that you can transfer your music to your ipod back again.

tell if the restart and retry does or not work. :)
 
Might want to also try rebooting your iPod... I forget how... you have to hold down either the left button, the center button and the right button.... or hold down the top (menu) button, the center button, and the bottom (play) button. One of those combinations reboots the iPod, methinks.

i got my firewires crossed, and my isight was plugged into my ipod. haha

lol. Dork. You can't use the iSight to record directly to the iPod disk.... at least, not yet! *shifty eyes*
