my jpg associations are jumbled

I have a huge folder full of .jpg's from my digital camera. Some old jpg's I transfered over from OS9, some I altered in OS9 because I needed to use a panoramic creator called PhotoStitch that only works in OS9. Some I altered in Photoshop, and some I have not touched.

They are all the same exact size jpg files.

The problem is that when I double click on them some open in Photoshop, some open in OSX Preview, and some open Classic environment and open in Quicktime! HOW ANNOYING. Apparently the associations are out of wack big time.

How can I beat these infernal .jpg's into submission like Saddam beats his prisoners? I just want all jpg's to open in Photoshop.

Help.

Easy. Select all of them and 'get info' then there is an option to 'open with'. Change that to Photoshop and all files selected will now open in photoshop.

By the way. If you have lots of files it could take a few seconds to change them all. It seems that when the finder has to get info on multiple files it can sometimes take a lot of thinking power.

no, select one, change all, that should work too. That way any file with a .jpg extension will open in whatever you choose, i have preview as my default
