My Mac Keeps Reseting Its Self!!!

everytime i accidently unplug it (a plug falls out) my mac resets its self! although i haven't got very many files, it will soon build up and if a cable fell out i would be completely devastated, i do allot of video for youtube and if i lost them i'd probably cry, yes cry...PLEASE HELP ME!!

I was just about to ask "What type of Mac do you have?" when I noticed your username. I had a similar problem on my iMac G5. The power cable really has to *click* right into its spot otherwise the slightest nudge can knock it out. At one stage when I had my desk really poorly arranged and was catching the cable frequently, I ended up taping it into place with a few lengths of wide transparent tape.

So, yeah, put it into place until you feel a *click*, and then carefully tuck the cable aside so that there is little risk of kicking it out with a stray foot.
