my mouse won't click

Hey guys. New to the forums here. I signed up because of my current problem but I hope it's a fun and helpful place I'll plan on staying at.

My mouse won't click on my MacBook. I brought it in to the Apple store and the guy reset the PRAM and it was temporarily fixed for a couple hours and happened again. I attempted to reset it again the way he showed me, and it restarted, so I believe it worked...but it did not fix the problem. I had also attempted resetting the PMU before that. Force shutdown, all that jazz. I don't know any other way to troubleshoot.

I think it's this "serene saver HD" that's giving me problems. Right before it happened again, my computer kept trying to go to the screensaver but went back and forth and I recieved a message that my trial of "serene saver" was up. It was a 10 day trial and I downloaded it like 3 months ago...Weird.

Anyway...Does anybody have any advice? It's greatly appreciated!

Download the program appDelete and install it. Then drag any portion of that screensaver and it will find all the parts and put it in the trash for you. Delete the files after you verified it only took the files related then then delete the files. Lastly immediately restart and while it starts back up follow the instructions to reset your Pram yourself. I urge you to continue to hold the Pram buttons down UNTIL you hear 3 startup "bongs".

Hopefully after doing this it should help. If it doesn't take it back for a hardware repair and explain what all you did along with the symptoms.
Good Luck.
